The motorway N12 is placed on a landslide. 20 retaining walls were built in 1978 supported with anchorage. Some anchorage present defect and new retaining wall was build against the old one.
The goal of the N12 Motorway retaining wall project is to monitor the whole life of the walls. In this project, the new concrete is blocked by the old one. This blocking can create cracks in the new concrete. The long-term effect of the Alcali reaction is also controlled by the measure.
