Smartec delivered to Amann Engineering GmbH (Geneva CH) a wireless tiltmeter system from our partner Move Solutions (Milan, Lucca IT). Initial 3D laser scan measurements were taken a month after the blast from August 04, 2020, and could already identify inclinations not visible with the naked eye. Following 3D laser measurements end of 2020 and spring of 2021, it was then decided to install the wireless tiltmeter at defined locations to complement laser scans. Tiltmeters with LoRaWAN radio communication enable permanent long-term monitoring with high tilt resolution, are easy to install and autonomous, live measurement data are saved on an online server and displayed on a web interface.
